What the Blog

By iTeresa

I don't know how many of you all know that I am a smoker, but I am.  I started smoking when I was 15 years old and now I'm 30, about time to quit, if I do say so.  But have any of you tried to quit smoking? I have before, all with on final result, I did for awhile, and then I started back up, so I took breaks, didn't really quit.

About a week ago my mom bought me electronic cigarettes.  It looks like a cigarette, weighs more than one though, has nicotine, but not tobacco, just a water vapor that has nicotine in it although from what I read less than the amount contained in cigarettes.  There is no smell, and of course no issues with second hand smoke and what not.  So today is day one.  I haven't smoked a real tobacco cigarette in over 12 hours, I am a little antsy, but overall am not going crazy.

I will keep you all posted on my progress of being a non-smoker....eventually....

Till next time,
T.

Congratulations on this new beginning. I'm so happy for you. I know its so hard but the benefits will be the best reward. My dad quit after almost 40 years. His substitute was jolly ranchers he said they were sweet enough to entertain his mouth. I was a kid when this happened and LOVED that jolly ranchers were everywhere even in the sofa.

You can do it! :)

Good luck through all this! Visiting from the Lady Bloggers! (BTW...how did you get such an awesome background for blogger)???

How's the smoking thing going?

I've been smoking way too long too. I quit once, for a year...I gained thirty pounds! I think the fat was going to choke my heart before the cigs did.

But, I look all grown up when I smoke ;-)
